My office

Maureen McKelvey, LMP is a massage therapist in Seattle, Washington, practicing in the Fremont neighborhood. Her table massage sessions draw on a number of techniques including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Soft Tissue Release and Neuromuscular Technique. Maureen also offers Thai Massage for women, which is performed on a futon-like mat on the floor. She is experienced working with clientele with diverse age ranges, health conditions and session goals.

Massage sessions are focused on meeting her client's health goals, which often include: relaxation, self-care, pain relief and injury treatment. Maureen is a Preferred Provider for Premera Blue Cross and LifeWise Health Plan of Washington, Aetna, Cigna, Corvel and Uniform. She also accepts PIP (Personal Injury Protection) insurance claims.

In addition to her private practice, Maureen's massage experience includes four years massaging at both the Seattle Tennis Club and as a member of the AMTA-WA Sports Massage Team. She has experience massaging at athletic events including STP (Seattle to Portland), the Seattle Marathon and RAW (Ride around Washington).

Office Features

The office is located in a professional building and is a comfortable and safe atmosphere in which to receive a massage. Office features include a heated massage table, cozy flannel sheets and filtered water.

Massage Philosophy

Maureen enjoys sharing her knowledge of anatomy and helping clients achieve their personal health goals. She encourages clients to consider how their lifestyle contributes to their posture, holding habits, stress levels and injuries. She also encourages clients to pay attention to how their body feels so they can determine how often to get a massage. Her hope is that each of her clients will make self-care a priority.
