Relaxation Massage

At the beginning of each session a few minutes are spent checking-in with the client to see how they are feeling on that particular day and what problem areas they would like to work on. Together, we decide on how to spend the massage time to meet the session goals. Options for the session include a full body massage or working only on a specific problem area. Check-in time does not cut into the client's massage time.

Relaxation Massage (Swedish / Deep Tissue / Sports Massage)

Relaxation table massage sessions usually feature a blend of techniques to best address the clients needs and desired outcome. Techniques commonly used include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Neuromuscular Technique and Soft Tissue Release. Besides providing stress relief, common injuries can also be addressed in these sessions. Pressure is adjusted depending on the client's preference and how their tissue responds.

Thai Massage for Women

Thai massage involves stretching and deep massage to open the Sen lines, which are similar to acupuncture meridians. Thai Massage is often called "assisted yoga". During the session, clients lie on a comfortable futon mat while wearing loose, comfortable clothing to allow for freedom of movement. Depth of pressure and intensity of stretches are carefully monitored to ensure client comfort. After the session, clients usually report feeling invigorated, deeply relaxed and a marked increase in flexibility.

Thai massage is wonderful for athletes, anyone with tight muscles, or those who just don't have the time or inclination to stretch on their own. To receive the full benefits of a Thai massage, sessions are either 90 minutes or 2 hours in length. Thai massage sessions are available only to women. Referrals to therapists who work with male clients can be provided. Please note that Thai massage sessions must be requested in advance to allow time to prepare the massage room for the session.
